Going to School at Innovation
High school students today are under tremendous pressure. Colleges are becoming more choosy and expensive and scholarships are harder to come by. Since many students will have to work after graduating while they pursue higher education it is imperative that they leave high school with critical thinking and life skills that will help them achieve their goals.
At Renaissance Innovation, we understand that everyone has a unique path to success. Education has to be personal, relevant, and immediately applicable life after graduation and outside of the school. As a student here your time will be spent in:
Rigorous class room instruction that will train you to understand how the world works and how you can best navigate it.
Year-long individual projects that will give you an opportunity to explore your passions and connect what you care about to what you are learning in class. During the first year, you will complete a Freshman Project in an area of your choice. After four years, you can use your collected annual Projects and your portfolio to concisely demonstrate your thought, commitment, and creativity to colleges, employers, and yourself.
Real-world experiences taking what you've learned in the classroom and putting it into practice in the community. These experiences will be diverse and can include everything from a International Study program including a weeklong practicum in another country, to setting up a profitable business and running it out of your arts class, to organizing a city-wide Youth Conference open to the public. We want you to know that your interests and needs will help us build a program that will allow you to become great at the things you want to learn.
